With over 30 years of professional engineering experience in the plantation-based sawmill industry, Saatech offer a comprehensive service which includes sawmill studies, the generation of detailed cost estimates, conceptual and detailed sawmill planning and design, and project management.

We will often employ the Saatech-developed sawmill simulation software, SawCAM, when performing greenmill studies to predict the performance of a new greenmill, to assist with the planning of a new greenmill, or to test the likely effectiveness of altered equipment parameters (feedspeed, kerf changes, etc.) in a greenmill. Saatech have successfully undertaken projects ranging from small design-only assignments, to the complete engineering and project management of new sawmill developments and major upgrades of existing sawmill facilities including log yards, greenmills, and planermills.
